About Julia

For Julia, an open and meaningful connection is the foundation of a good therapeutic relationship and as such she ensures that all her clients feel comfortable and validated. Her therapeutic style is grounding, engaging and safe.

She wants people to feel understood and to be able to make sense of their experience. She loves supporting people to develop new and more buoyant ways of relating to themselves and others, and to confront their difficulties to make positive change. Julia is so grateful to be able to do this work with people.

Julia completed clinical psychology training across public settings in community mental health and perinatal mental health. She continues supporting mothers, families and infants in her work as a counsellor for a national perinatal organisation. Julia tailors therapy to each individual through integrating appropriate perspectives including contemporary psychoanalytic therapies, compassion-focused therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (this list is not exhaustive).
