Kate Kneipp

About Kate

Kate takes a collaborative approach in her therapeutic work with clients, allowing them the space to share openly and feel heard. She is warm and empathetic, and often brings a sense of humour into the therapy space.

Kate values the importance of taking a “big picture view” and working holistically with clients. She does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach and integrates various therapeutic modalities to ensure that clients feel well supported in working towards their goals.

Kate incorporates techniques from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT), interpersonal therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness.

As an experienced yoga, meditation, and mindfulness teacher, Kate is also able to bring in yogic philosophy and practices (e.g., yoga poses, meditation, breathing practices) to counselling sessions if this is of interest to clients.

Kate is a registered certified practising counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
