About Us

What We Do

We provide psychological treatment for children, adolescents and adults to improve mental health and wellbeing.

We value the diversity of our clients and provide a safe non-judgemental environment.

We pride ourselves on providing accessible and high quality psychological treatment and counselling that serves our local community. We use a range of evidence-based approaches and collaborate with our clients to develop the most effective treatment plans.

Our Values

Melbourne Psychology & Counselling was founded in 2016 by Dr Claire Ahern and Dr Christine Raab.

Our aim was to provide our local community with high quality psychological therapy and to attract like minded psychologists to build a service focused on accessibility, valuing diversity, and high ethical and clinical standards.

We also provide mentoring and training to psychologists that are new to private practice to ensure that our community is supported by a terrific group of clinicians.

Our team prides itself on being warm, approachable, and genuinely interested in our clients' experiences. We also value ongoing skills development and support learning through team professional development and supervision.

To hold ourselves to account we undertake research on the outcomes of our work. We are proud our outcomes and confident that our clients benefit from seeing a psychologist at MPC.
