About Amber

Amber works at Melbourne Psychology on Fridays and Saturdays.  

 

Amber began their career as a victim advocate working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence in 2012. Amber takes a depathologising approach to therapy which emphasises the therapeutic relationship.

 

Amber enjoys working with people from Queer and Neurodiverse communities as they share these identities. 

When they’re not at work, Amber loves making weird art, being silly, and dancing. They are currently trying to learn how to play the ukelele.

Assessment and Therapy for Young People (13 years +)

Amber offers assessments for individuals over 13 years of age. She has unique experience in assessment for "high masking" or atypical presentations of neurodiversity. She continues to develop her practise based on emerging research from both clinicians and neurodiverse people. Amber consults with a minimum of one other psychologist as part of the assessment process.

 

Please note that psychologists are not able to prescribe medication and this requires attendance with a pediatrician or psychiatrist.
