About Cas
Cas is a registered psychologist who graduated in 2007. Since then, she has worked with young
people and adults in the public mental health system, including headspace with young people aged
between 12 and 25 years. More recently, Cas has worked in adult in-patient psychiatric care before
moving to private practice.
Cas has experience in numerous therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy,
Solution Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and Strengths Based Therapy and has an interest in
Self-Compassion and Mindfulness. She is also trauma informed. Cas works in collaboration with
clients to find the most helpful treatment style and to set goals for therapy using warmth, empathy
and respect for the client.
Cas enjoys working with adults and with young people aged 12 years and up and their families
(where appropriate). The initial goal is to build a trusting and nonjudgmental relationship and work
together to overcome mental health challenges that can impact the enjoyment of life.
Cas aims to assist individuals to better understand their life experiences, their relationships with
themselves and others, and how these can contribute to distress. By better understanding how
these impact each other, people can make positive changes to improve their lives. Cas works hard to
create a safe, consistent and welcoming space for therapy to occur.
Cas is experienced in working with people with issues around eating and body image. She uses
evidence-based treatment to assist individuals to improve health and their relationship to their
body, using a Health at Every Size lens. She also has a strong interest in Queer mental health and is
proud to serve her community. In addition, she has also worked extensively with people who are
neurodivergent, especially those individuals who are recently diagnosed or late diagnosed.
Cas regularly engages in supervision, external supervision, training and professional development to
ensure her practice is current.
