About Charlie
Charlie is a warm, dedicated Clinical Psychology Registrar and AHPRA-registered psychologist who brings genuine curiosity and care to every client she works with. She is known for her approachable, down-to-earth nature and works hard to create a space where people feel comfortable to speak openly and honestly, often from the very first session.
At the heart of Charlie's practice is the belief that a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation from which real change becomes possible. From your first session, you can expect her to listen closely, move at a pace that feels right for you, and take the time to understand not just what's brought you to therapy, but the full picture of who you are; your story, and the relationships and experiences that have shaped you. Charlie has become increasingly drawn to work that explores the relational patterns sitting beneath presenting concerns, and how a warm, empathetic therapeutic relationship can support meaningful and lasting change.
Charlie's experience spans community health, perinatal mental health, persistent pain, and university counselling settings, and she works with a broad range of presentations and life stages, including children, adolescents and families. She has particular interest and experience supporting clients through fertility-related distress and perinatal mental health, chronic pain and complex physical health concerns, self-esteem and body image, grief and loss, and adjustment across major life transitions. She also brings a strong understanding of the biopsychosocial relationship between physical and mental health, gained through her work within multidisciplinary teams supporting clients with persistent pain and comorbid health conditions.
Her approach is relational, trauma-informed and evidence-based, drawing on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), alongside attachment-based perspectives.
Charlie is deeply committed to her ongoing professional development, regularly engaging in supervision and training to ensure her clients receive the highest standard of care, and is currently building on her clinical experience with further training in areas such as Schema Therapy.
