EAP Sessions
EAP Counselling is short term support with a registered psychologist, funded by your employer.
You can talk about any work or personal issue that is impacting your mental health and wellbeing. Your psychologist will listen to your concerns and identify useful strategies. They may also help you find long term support if required.

Employees of selected workplaces can access up to 3 fully funded sessions under this scheme.
What EAP can do?
-
Provide short-term support
Our EAP services offer brief, solution-focused sessions (typically 1–6 sessions).
-
Offer timely access to support
We are often able to offer appointments for EAP services sooner than other mental health services, helping employees get help when they need it most.
-
Support a wide range of concerns
Including stress, work-related issues, adjustment difficulties, family or relationship concerns, grief, and general wellbeing.
-
Assist with early intervention
EAP Counselling sessions can help people manage challenges before they become more serious.
-
Personalised Care
Our intake team will match you with the appropriate psychologist to meet your needs
-
Offer referrals for ongoing care
If more specialised or long-term support is needed, our psychologists can guide clients toward appropriate services and supports.
-
Ensure confidentiality
Sessions are private and confidential, helping people feel safe to seek support.
What EAP can't do?
-
Crisis or Urgent Support
EAP Counselling is not suitable if you are in crisis or your situation is more urgent. If you would like urgent support, please call Lifeline 13 11 14, CareinMind 1300 096 269 or call 000.
-
Provide long-term therapy
EAP Counselling is not designed for ongoing support for chronic or complex mental health conditions but your EAP psychologist will be able to provide appropriate suggestions for ongoing support.
-
Offer specialised treatment
While all clients are welcome, EAP Counselling is not the right time to do structured, evidence-based therapy for some conditions (e.g., PTSD)
-
Deliver medical or psychiatric care
EAP Counselling does not include diagnosis, medication, or psychiatric review. Referral to a GP or specialist may be required.
-
Act as legal or workplace advocates
While EAP Counselling can support individuals experiencing workplace distress, it does not provide legal advice, formal mediation, or industrial advocacy.
-
Guarantee organisational change
EAP Counselling can help an individual manage how they respond to workplace stressors but cannot control or enforce change within the workplace itself.
