About Maddy
Maddy is a psychologist who provides a warm and welcoming space to all who come through her door. She is genuinely interested in a person’s life story and understands that being human comes with difficulties and challenges. Maddy enjoys helping people to improve their self-awareness, identify unhelpful patterns, develop better ways of coping and connect to what is important in life.
Most of Maddy’s experience has been gained through working with adolescents and adults in community settings, in both Melbourne and London (UK). She worked therapeutically with people who would often struggle with mental health illness, homelessness, relationship difficulties, identity issues, trauma, substance abuse and discrimination.
Maddy uses Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and Schema Therapy. Her psychological work tends to incorporate these different approaches to target the individual needs of each person. Her training and experience ensures a thorough assessment, treatment and monitoring, which often includes collaboration with other professionals such as GP’s and Psychiatrists.
