ANGELA GODBEE

Clinical Psychologist

Angela Godbee conducts telehealth assessments for ADHD and Autism for people aged 18 years and over.

A psychological assessment is like putting together a puzzle. A psychologist will collects information from you, from people who know you, and from what they see during sessions to understand what’s going on.

The assessment usually includes:

  • Talking with you and observing you: to learn about your experiences and behaviour.

  • Information from others: like parents, teachers, partners, or caregivers.

  • Questionnaires: you may fill out short, validated forms about how you think, feel, or act.

  • Skill tests: tasks that compare your abilities with others your age to see what is typical and what might be a challenge. These tests help the psychologist see your strengths and any areas that might need support.

At the end of the assessment, you will get a report that includes:

  • A simple summary of what was found

  • Any diagnoses (if relevant)

  • Helpful strategies and suggestions for next steps

Each assessment is personalised. It starts with a meeting where you can talk with the psychologist about your goals.

Information Session

The initial information session is a 50-minute telehealth appointment with Angela. During this session, she will work to understand your goals and what you need from the assessment. She will ask detailed questions to help decide whether the assessments offered are appropriate for your situation.

If further assessment is recommended, Angela will inform:

  • Which measures would be used

  • How long the assessment would take

  • The costs involved

If further assessment is not recommended, Angela will give suggestions and recommendations that best meet your needs.

The cost for the Information Session is $230 to be paid at the intake phone call. There is no medicare rebate available for this session.
